Vevant’s Facebook Page: May I add, no trend but a one-person coincidence.
P.S. Mine’s taller, 19th century, and legit. ;)

In New York, those random conversations with a stranger: this time, it was a Magician.

One day, walking in SoHo during FW at night:
Him: “Excuse me miss, where’d you get your top hat?”
Me: “eBay!!!”
Him: “I’m a magician you see! I’m always looking for hats.”
Me: “That’s fabulous.”
Him: “I’m assuming your not!”
Me: “Oh, not at all! (thinking about my witchy roots though)
Him: “So you’re wearing it for no reason?”
Me: “My 19th century Top-Hat completes me. I’m a bit stuck in a fairytale.”
Him: “Ah, *smiles* well I’m sure you are heading somewhere, of course!”
Me: “Fashion Week!”
Him: “Nice meeting you.”
Me: “Likewise.” *BIG GRIN*

Upon the next couple of months, I will be putting together the pre-issue, and start the brainstorming with my team for the first issue of Defying Mainstream. After I attend various shows at Fashion Week, get my team comfortable, and sort through all these things I have yet to share, only then things will get moving a lot faster. My personal site is something of a project I have yet to put more input to, but currently you can read much more of my self-expression through my writing on Defying Mainstream or my frequent tweets on Twitter.
